This art quilt "Millefiori Moonlight" features a yellow moon that comes away from the background about 1" and has nine fabric millefiori circles on it. There are four clouds in oranges, reds, and purples that also have millefiori circles fused to them and covered with netting then sewn down. The background is made of blue and purple half square triangles arrange to be the night sky and two purple mountain ranges. There is yarn couched around the mountain ranges, the clouds, and the moon. Glass beads are hand sewn on the moon and buttons are hand sewn in the lower right hand corner.
It is made of commercial and batik cotton fabrics and is fused raw-edge applique with navy and purple threads that were machine quilted to echo the shapes of the clouds and the mountain ranges with the quilting lines 1/4" apart. It has a knife-edge binding and comes with a hanging sleeve and rod, ready to hang on a nail.
