This art quilt "Cabin Sweet Cabin" features a traditional quilt block (Log Cabin) but done in a non-traditional way. Featuring hand-dyed fabric from Cherrywood Fabrics, the shapes are made with smaller pieces of fabric that have been fused to similar background fabrics. All of the pieces are quilted down with black thread in quilting lines that are 1/4" apart. A piece of black yarn has been couched down symbolizing the smoke coming out of a chimney.
It is machine quilted with a knife-edge binding. It comes with a hanging sleeve and rod, ready to hang on a nail.
This quilt was made for the Project Quilting: Focus Through the Prism challenge, to read more about this quilt, visit my blog.
